If you landed here, you're probably wondering whether QuickTools.one is safe to use for your PDFs, images, and other files.
Short answer: yes, it is. But let me explain exactly why.
Your Files Never Leave Your Device
This is the core promise of QuickTools.one, and it's not just marketing speak.
Every tool on the site processes files directly in your browser using JavaScript. When you merge a PDF, resize an image, or compress a file, all the work happens on your computer. Nothing gets uploaded to any server.
This means:
- No file ever touches our servers
- No temporary copies are stored anywhere
- No one else can access your documents
- Your files stay exactly where they are: on your device
Once you close the browser tab, there is literally no trace of your file anywhere online.
No Accounts, No Tracking, No Cookies
You don't need to create an account to use any tool. There's no email collection, no sign-up forms, no passwords.
We use Umami for basic analytics, which is a privacy-respecting analytics tool that doesn't use cookies and doesn't track individual users. We see simple numbers like page views and country-level traffic. We cannot identify you or see what files you work with.
There are no third-party trackers, no advertising networks, and no data sold to anyone.
Why Build It This Way?
QuickTools.one was built by Eduard Albu, a developer based in Romania. You can follow the project's progress on X at @eduardalbu.
The goal was simple: create useful everyday tools that respect user privacy. Too many online tools require uploads to remote servers, collect unnecessary data, or hide behind vague privacy policies.
QuickTools.one takes the opposite approach. Process everything locally. Collect nothing. Keep it simple.
How Browser-Based Processing Works
When you select a file in any of our tools, your browser reads it directly from your device. The processing happens using JavaScript libraries running in your browser, the same environment that runs any website you visit.
For example:
- PDF tools use libraries like pdf-lib to merge, split, or compress documents
- Image tools use the Canvas API built into every modern browser
- Everything runs client-side, meaning your device does the work
The result is downloaded directly to your computer. No round trip to a server required.
What About the Files I Download?
The processed files (merged PDFs, resized images, etc.) are generated in your browser and saved to your device through a standard download. They are not hosted anywhere online.
If you want to verify this yourself, you can open your browser's developer tools (Network tab) while using any tool. You will see that no file data is sent anywhere.
Our Privacy Policy
For complete details, you can read the full Privacy Policy.
It covers:
- What data we collect (almost nothing)
- How analytics work
- Your rights as a user
- Contact information
